Three Squared

It takes a minute to remember that the boys are twins. This picture is all you need to see to understand why. People think Jax is slow because he's, clearly, a six-year-old, and Jett is two. They look nothing like twins, let alone brothers.

But here we are. Twins boys who are now three-years-old.

It's funny. I spend my days surrounded by women, either working or playing. When you put moms in a room together and we start talking about our children, within minutes, we are sharing the most intimate details of our birth stories. It's something that unites us from the outset. "Oh, your epidural didn't work either?! Let me tell you my story!" It's an instant bond with mothers. We were there. In the trenches. We know the stories. Good and bad. We lived them. Our birth stories are our 'Nam.

If you're a longtime reader, you know the ins & outs of our roller coaster twin pregnancy. From the "holy shit" in the ultrasound room to the three-week-long NICU stay. These boys came into this world with a larger than life story, and they have maintained that over three years.

While we are tired, we have bags under our eyes, and we shower less frequently, having these two boys has been the best adventure we've ever been on. They are wild, loud, snuggly, stinky, loving, hilarious, spastic, and amazing.

Boys, you are our world and we adore you.

Here are a few of my favorites from this past year.
